A Work in Progress Unfolds.

By a Bay Now Called “Biscayne”   P. Crockett

AND speaking of works in progress, here is a shot of my current studio, as configured by Alan in his infinitely creative restless spirit:

Finally, I wanted to thank Meredith Colliflower Fisher for her extraordinary gift of a treasure trove of books about Miami history.  One of them ( Forgotten Frontier: Florida through the lens of Ralph Middleton Munroe by Arva Moore Parks) lays open on the floor above, just to the left of my little red stool.

Thanks to you all.

In this accelerated, much to fast way of living now days, you are an oasis of peace and tranquility and I thank you for that dear Paul!

Luis, my soul brother, I’ll tell you what: I’ll be your oasis, if I can continue keeping the idea of you in my heart, as mine. Alan and I are grateful every single day for your precious gift to us of our boy Hoppers.

God’s beautiful colors, with the co-hesive glue of genius holding them together. But my mind cannot bend around that which I do not understand. We come to the old comparison of “form over substance”. Sometimes, it seens, maybe a ” name or title ”
does not do the work justice.

    • PHC says:

Lee: My God! Such high praise, imparted with such eloquence. Thank you.

You were right about the “working title” of the painting, it didn’t fit anymore. (Basically, it was a “link” for purposes of continuity, etc., to the first sitting.) See, people? I do listen to thoughtful feedback! (I’ll take all the help I can get…)

What do you think of the new title I’ve “provisionally” assigned?
